Transportation Assistance Request

Volunteer Drivers Needed

Care INC networks among churches and community members to help meet needs in the Fond du Lac area which aren’t addressed by our current local resources.

One recurring need we circulate to our Care INC network is finding volunteers to drive people to medical appointments (often out of town), when they have no other transportation options.

If you would be willing to receive emails from Care INC as part of our volunteer driver pool (or would like to find out more about how this works), please contact us at (920) 659-0670 or by email at careincfdl@gmail.com

Care INC Walk raises over $5900 for local ministries!

Building awareness, supporting one another in community!
carewalk_registration

On Sunday, September 29, 2013, the Care INC network held two events to raise funds and awareness for agencies working to serve those in need in the Fond du Lac area.

The first ever ‘Care INC walk’ was a three-mile tour of downtown Fond du Lac with stops along the way where different agencies explained about needs in the Fond du Lac area and how those needs are being addressed.  Participants were given a map and information about the stops along the route, along with invitations to prayerfully reflect on how God calls us all to care for one another in the community.

Following the walk, a Spaghetti dinner and was held at St. Paul’s Cathederal in support of the ministry of Care INC itself, which is a network of churches and agencies partnering to offer mentoring and collaboration on helping meet the needs of our community.

The results are in from the Care INC walk, and we really have a reason to praise God and celebrate — on our first year of the walk, we raised just shy of $5900 for local agencies assisting people in need.

The Fond du Lac Area Ministers Association (who served as a funding distributor for the Care INC walk) voted to add in the offering from the Community Good Friday service, along with some funds from the FAMA treasury to increase the total amount, which allowed checks for $960 to be sent out to the Solutions Center, Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul Society, Fondy Food Pantry, Broken Bread, and Loaves and Fishes.  $640 went to the Oakfield food pantry.

We are extremely grateful for the support of all the churches, organizations and individuals who made this a highly successful inaugural event!
